The announcement was made by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Federico Alfaro Boyd, who held a meeting on Tuesday with representatives of the production house, with connections in the United States and Canada.

In addition to the generation of jobs, and its contribution to the economic revitalization of related activities, this filming will generate direct investments of more than 600 thousand dollars.

This production house has a high profile within the industry, and makes more than twenty film projects annually for the big screen and digital platforms, being an important opportunity for the country.

“We are happy to know the progress of this production, which once again reaffirms the commitment that these international companies have with Panama as a rental destination, which also contributes to economic growth,” he said.

Alfaro Boyd explained that the administration of President Cortizo Cohen, through the Panamanian Film Commission, continues to strengthen the link between the government, private companies and local and international film houses, because, “in addition to contributing to the national economy, obviously they give an image of Panama as a country that attracts investment and a country that respects, but also facilitates this type of production,” he said after noting that he has received “very good recommendations” from international producers regarding the treatment and professionalism of the Panamanian producers who will contribute their knowledge, capacity and technology to this film, which will be filmed entirely on Panamanian soil.

On this last point, he added that the main attraction of Panama, based on the experience that international producers have had, is the people.

“From a production point of view, the technical capacity that Panamanians have and that they have learned over time, but also this welcoming country that has given them the security of continuing to bring more productions, which in the end is what we are looking for it,” he said.
